Choosing a Cloud Storage Provider

Choosing a Cloud Storage Provider

Companies today create massive amounts of data. This data must be stored and accessed as needed. This is typically accomplished with the help of the cloud.

The cloud refers to a global network of servers, each with their own unique functions. These servers are used to store and manage large amounts of data.

As opposed to accessing data on a personal computer, the data stored on the cloud can be accessed through any device that connects to the Internet. This enables data to be viewed at anytime, from any location in the world. However, not everyone can access this data. Access is limited to only those that are given permission.

Cloud Storage Solutions for Business and Government

A cloud storage provider provides the space needed to store large amounts of data. An experienced cloud storage provider offers exceptional protection and services designed to help your company excel.

Data Resolution provides a variety of cloud storage solutions for companies across a wide range of industries. We have over twenty years of experience providing cloud-based storage solutions to businesses and government agencies. We understand that every business has its own unique needs when it comes to data storage. This is why we offer Public Clouds, Private Clouds, and AWS GovCloud.

Access to information stored on the cloud is limited to only those that have permission. Cloud-based storage helps improve efficiency and frees up space on business devices. This eliminates the need for flash drives and other storage devices, which can easily become lost or stolen, putting sensitive data at risk.

Data Resolution’s cloud storage solutions are safer and more effective than any other data storage solution available today. Our skilled team understands the importance of data protection. We also know that businesses need to be able to access data at all times. We work hard to ensure maximum uptime and exceptional security.

Businesses of all shapes and sizes are realizing the benefits of cloud storage. Companies that have not moved their data storage to the cloud face numerous challenges when it comes to security and data management. Please contact us to learn how we can help.

Data Storage Security

Data Storage Security

As more and more businesses are turning to IoT solutions and cloud storage, concerns about data storage security are becoming more common. In fact, data security is among the top reasons that millions of users avoid storing their data online.

What you might not realize is that data stored on the cloud is much safer than that stored on your computer’s hard drive. Cloud data looks nothing like the data you input into your computer. Instead, it is stored in an encrypted form. Cloud data reads like a code that is virtually impossible to crack.

Much like your home computer, cloud data is stored on hard drives by a cloud service provider. The stored data can be accessed through the Internet only to users that have permission.

Clouds use special software to move data from one system to another. This helps ensure data is protected, even in the event of a power failure or system malfunction. Data is moved when a problem occurs, reducing the chance or length of downtime.

Although data stored on the cloud is much safer than data stored on your personal computer, it is still often pictured as a vulnerable asset, ready to be stolen by tech-savvy hackers. This is highly unlikely as it is next to impossible to crack encrypted data.

Public Clouds

Different companies have different needs when it comes to cloud storage. Public clouds are the most commonly used. These clouds can be accessed by anyone with permission. Although public clouds provide the same security as private clouds, they require very little maintenance.

Private Clouds

Large companies often have their own private clouds. Employees or customers can gain access to the private cloud by using a special key or password. Unlike public clouds, a private cloud enables the organization to use their own infrastructure. However, the private cloud is still scalable, has virtualization capabilities, and allows for the allocation of computing resources.

AWS GovCloud

AWS GovCloud provides the greatest level of protection. This cloud is designed to help government agencies and businesses that must meet strict regulations move data. While this cloud can protect sensitive workloads, organizations must be extremely careful when controlling who they give access to.

Data Resolution provides cloud services for companies and government agencies. Please contact us for more information about public clouds, private clouds, and AWS GovCloud.

How the IoT Affects Data Storage

How the IoT Affects Data Storage

Every day, more and more devices are connecting to the Internet. From smart phones to security cameras, smart devices are an increasing part of our everyday lives. For businesses, IoT sensors are a useful tool, used to collect and transmit a variety of data regarding equipment health, inventory, and more.

In the past, the only groups producing data were large enterprises. Their storage needs were simple and predictable. Today, the storage needs of businesses and individuals have grown to include smart homes, cell phones, and a variety of other connected devices. The amount of data being produced by these devices is enormous. As the amount of data being sent and received continues to grow, the need for secure data storage is expanding.

Businesses of all shapes and sizes now collect data at a higher rate and from more sources than previously possible. This large amount of data creates a unique challenge when it comes to storage.

The data storage systems of today must be able to securely store billions of files of data. As the IoT continues to grow, so must the capabilities of the data storage systems being used.

Cloud-Based Storage

IoT devices constantly stream data. Legacy storage systems simply cannot handle the storage needs of businesses today. These systems do not have the capability to efficiently digest the large amount of data coming in.

Cloud storage provides a flexible, scalable, sophisticated way to protect and store the large amounts of data collected by a wide range of smart devices. Cloud-based systems make data storage simple and efficient.

Businesses handling sensitive data must be extremely careful to follow rules and regulations regarding the treatment and storage of data. Different regions can have different codes, and compliance should always be a top priority.

Data Resolution provides data storage solutions to help organizations manage large amounts of data collected by IoT devices. We provide secure cloud services for both business and Government. Our services are designed to protect sensitive data and improve the efficiency of business operations. Please contact us for more information about our data storage solutions.
